Members have been playing at Rothley Park for almost 100 years. We feel sure that the members are as friendly today as they were then, and the course still provides some of the best golfing challenges in the County. There are numerous formal competitions for club members throughout the year including winter and summer KO’s and club championships. When board competitions are not taking place there are medal events held every week in the summer and in addition, we have Saturday morning Swindles, both of which finish with good camaraderie in the 19th hole.

We run a scratch league team, A and B teams and an under 35 team all playing various home and away fixtures. Rothley Park is proud of its friendly, yet competitive atmosphere and encourages all members to participate from beginners to the experienced golfer, our friendly members will always ensure you have a playing partner.

We have a strong mixed section and encourage all members to join in, we have matches against other clubs and fun informal social events for all to enjoy. Rothley Park has excellent catering and bar facilities and all participating in these events usually enjoy an excellent meal.

The social scene is going from strength to strength with Sunday lunches for members and their guests, wine tasting, race nights, quiz nights, dinner dances not forgetting the children’s Christmas party a highlight of the year, to name a few.

Our resident PGA professional Danny Spillane and his assistant Katie Tebbet stock a range of golfing equipment and attire. They are always on hand to assist with the maintenance of equipment and are happy to advise on new clubs etc. They offer private lessons for all levels throughout the year on our practice ground.

Rothley Park G.C. observes and encourages the traditions and etiquette of golf on the course and in the clubhouse.
